This is strong decrease in comparison with my holidays in this camp during summer in 2005 and ´06. Lizards P. melisellensis and P. siculus, which were here in 2005 very abundant, disappeared from this camp and its near surroundings totally. In 2006 were already less abundant (but still I saw several specimens of them every day), in 2008 directly in camp no P. melisellensis or siculus, only 2 P. mel. in near surroundings of camp and this year no Podarcis in camp, nor in its surroundings. I can´t explain it.

Additionaly they are succesfuly hybridising so we can find there lot of intermedeiate forms and aberations including melanistic individuals. By this fact the subspecies level is strongly in doubt.
