id9807, Emys orbicularis, Serbia > Dinaric Alps > Topola, - m a. s., Denis Ćoso, 2014, 08.02.2015, This male turtle we rescued from a fountain of one cafe in Konjarnik settlement in Belgrade. The owner of this cafe said that he found the turtle during summer in Topola and bring her in its cafe fountain. We confiscate her from him because her chances to stay alive in fountain during winter was so poor. The turtle is currently on rehab in my place and in the spring I will let her out into the wild. Because this turtle was found in Topola, probably this species have populations in Topola.
